Opportunity: Head of Supply Chain Planning Systems

Location: Bangalore, India

Summary of role:
  • Application Life Cycle Management across functional scope for Coats business.
  • To lead resources, within functional area, in delivering IT solutions that meet current and future business needs.
  • Lead, for Technology, the business requirements for digitisation as a subject matter process expert and identify the change management requirement. 
  • Proactively upgrade Business Process as Technology Solutions advance
  • Provide strategic input to IT Roadmap.
  • Work with the business and IT Teams to ensure that process re-engineering is delivered and target ROI achieved.
  • Ensure that applications continue to deliver target functionality and address incidents as per the agreed SLAs.
  • Life cycle: Requirements, Design, Build, Implement, Support, Improve, Retire, Replace.
Key Accountabilities:
Team Leadership
  • Manage, lead and support the Technology Team  
  • Responsible for all day to day staff activities
  • Development skills and capability within IT
  • Manage outsourced Partner solution build and delivery
  • Transition support capability for new solutions, oversee progress and capability
Applications Architecture
  • Business Application Strategy Development in line with business goals and objectives and in conjunction with DTLT and IT partners
  • Evaluating and selecting vendors and products
  • Evaluating, setting and enforcing applications management standards
Products
  • Design secure and resilient IT solutions
  • Deliver solutions in line with, or exceeding, Business Requirements
  • Deliver solutions in line with recognised Best-Practice
  • External Monitoring of Subject Matter Development
Process
  • Deliver timely services to meet agreed business outcomes
  • Project Delivery as required
  • Support lifecycle of applications
  • Release deployment management, validation and testing
  • Design measurement metrics and methods
  • Maintain standards and documentation for applications within Solutions scope
  • Maintain Service Catalogue for solution scope
  • Contribute to improved IT Service Quality
  • Promote best practice and Business improvement within solution scope
  • Fluent in all Service Management Processes: Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Request Fulfilment
Partners
  • Provide Subject Matter expertise to functional engagement activity
  • Other IT Teams (Internal and External)
  • Vendor / Supplier Management for new solutions
Education, Qualifications and Experience:
Candidate must-
  • Understand fully Best-Practice Supply Chain Management, ideally APICs qualified.
  • Full understanding of end to end Supply Chain processes in SAP/ APO.
  • Configuration experience in APO (Ideally Supply and Demand Planning)
  • Good leader of Team, able to drive delivery and projects
  • Very good customer facing skills, candidate will face into Global Supply Chain Management and must be articulate, convincing and able to lead discussion
  • Strong professional track record of IT Solutions Delivery
  • Subject Matter Expertise across solution scope
  • Knowledge of Industry Best-Practice across solution scope
  • Ability to manage virtual teams dispersed across a number of geographical locations
  • Experienced in design, build and change control management
  • Effective communicator Written and Orally; in technical and in Business Process parlance
  • Experience in Business process redesign and change management
  • Demonstrate a logical problem solving approach and formulate plans fitting context
  • Self-manage priorities and tasks, manage projects and make decisions 
  • Education – Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology and MBA from premier B School (e.g. IIMs). 
  • Ideally possess a strong track record of working in or for FMCG industry.
