Opportunity: Associate Product Manager

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Role purpose:

To define and implement appropriate marketing strategies for the stitching & creative crafts range in terms of product portfolio, branding, and in store propositions, to maximize profitable sales growth opportunities. Additionally support the management of Coats current merchandising &display solutions for the Needle crafts category.


Key Accountabilities:

  • On-going product management
    • To manage product lifecycle, sku performance, and pro-actively propose changes to the range going forward
    • To monitor implementation and performance of promotional activities and campaigns
    • To support Sales Team with development of selling concepts for major key accounts
    • To monitor A&P spend in order to continuously maximize results, and follow establish approval processes
  • Coordinate new product development, concepts for packaging and imagery, sampling & costs with vendors, in line with strategic plans validated with the Marketing Director
    • Plan and coordinate the development of approved brand key visuals and marketing support materials, and coordinate production within budgets
    • Pro-actively source market trends information and monitor the competition movements and activities.
    • To collect translations for packaging and other marketing materials as per the Marketing specifications and ensure an accurate control of final content.
  • Manage improvements of existing and/or development of new display solutions and other trade marketing initiatives and merchandising materials
    • To develop new or update existing fixture filling plans for customers and prepare all the necessary information for customer resets.
    • Ensure all developed/produced displays & merchandising materials respect the brand principles and guidelines specifications to deliver an accurate final content.
    • To collect and consolidate forecasts for point of sale marketing support materials, manage requests for production cost offers with Supply Chain and propose best sourcing within budgets and specifications.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Business/Marketing degree
  • 1-2  years product/brand marketing in a CPG environment
