Technical Advisory Service Supervisor, Footwear

Role Summary:

This position is responsible for quality technical services to brands and customers in both thread and trims business; do support the sales team to develop a profitable sales argument in favour of the Coats offer for thread and trims by conducting training, seminar, product recommendation, development and trial

Key Accountability:

1. Coats value added technical solutions management

  • Managing Coats sewing, embroidery and trims solution activities for customers
  • Conducting Thread audit, Trims audit, Training programs, Workshops, Consumption Analysis, Logo Enhancement, etc. coming under Coats sewing, embroidery and trims solutions

2. Business development functions

  • Promoting the company’s top of the line products in thread and trims to customers
  • Using high level of technical input to build very strong business relationships with development/ production/ quality assurance personnel in customer organization
  • Delivering technical presentations & conduct technical seminars to key customers as well as brands in order to build a strong image for Coats technical services
  • Supporting to influence Product up-gradation in brands and customers
  • Supporting new product launch and penetration in the market place

3. Supporting Sales efforts

  • Day to day interaction with the sales team to ensure that everybody works in tandem and towards the same goals
  • Advising complaint handling guidance/ assistance for the sales/ QA whenever required
  • Training the sales team on technical aspect in the business 

4. Team management

  • Monitoring and coaching technical personnel in the assigned territory, to identify training and development needs to achieve agreed targets
  • Developing visit and route plans to ensure that designated potential and existing customers are visited and provided added value technical support

Education, Qualification and Experience:

1. Essential:

  • University degree in Textile, Garment or related majors
  • Having a minimum of 3-year experience in supervisory position in apparel industry or related industry
  • Interpersonal skills to handle subordinates and peers of different functions and to interact with the customers on quality related matters
  • Excellent communication and people skills whether face to face, over the telephone, or in writing
  • Confident in dealing with individuals at all levels within an organisation and external customers.
  • Having a good judgement and decision making
  • Communicate fluently in Vietnamese and English

2. Desirable:

  •        Sewing machine settings and maintenance
  • Chinese communication is preferable
