Role summary:

The job incumbent is accountable for all safety programs and policies to be reviewed and updated whilst consistently being implemented and improved leading to achievement of a safe workplace conducive to maintaining zero accident both for regular employees & 3rd party contractors. This is inclusive of traffic related safety enforcement amongst employees going to and from company.

Location: Hung Yen Province

Key Accountability:
  • Create, publish, implement and routine maintenance of a Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Protection Policy and Manual for all activities in manufactory
  • Monitor actual EHS practices across the site and, where necessary, implement corrective and preventive actions in coordination and cooperation with relevant colleagues
  • Attend monthly EHS Steering Committee to review EHS performances/ policies/ programs
  • Monitor continually and document actual performance against relevant mandatory protocols, controls and procedures to enable reporting to external and internal bodies and to facilitate continuous improvement
  • Management of the QMS to achieve successful annual renewal of the company’s accreditation in ISO14001,  OHSAS18001 and Oekotex certifications
  • Coordinate and cooperate effectively with all relevant local and national government entities, test houses, accreditation authorities, compliance-participating customers and relevant colleagues
  • Submit relevant and timely reports to related person in charge (as specified when required)

Education, Qualification and Experience:
  • University Graduate, preferably in an Engineering discipline, but certainly in a technical subject
  • Minimum of 5 years in Industry or Safety/Certification related activity
  • Minimum of 3 years in similar position
  • Fluently writing and speaking Vietnamese and English
  • Demonstrable capacity/ability for leadership, organization, people management and effective communication
  • Relentless focus on target achievement and continuous improvement
  • Ability and willingness to use initiative and to accept responsibility
  • Persuasive personality
  • Rigorous insistence on compliance and strength of character to resist pressure to “compromise”
