Role Purpose:

The job incumbent is accountable for supervising the DH team operation and all the dyeing production activities in to achieve the departmental targets in terms of quality and productivity through enforcement of SOP. He/she is accountable for the whole team health and safety.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Health & Safety Accountability: Accountable for his/her team’s health and safety, the machine safety as well as the overall housekeeping of the working areas, ensuring zero accidents in their own team

  • To perform hazardous and risk assessment of his/her own working location/machines on regular basis; to propose and implement action plan for continuous improvement of the safety working condition and people safety behavior.
  • To maintain or/and identify area for improvement of the overall housekeeping to meet Coats standard and policies
  • To ensure their team member are received adequate H&S training to perform the work safely.
  • To communicate all company H&S SOPs policies to all their team member timely and effectively as well as supervisor their activities in according with SOP and policies.
  • Be accountable for preparation and arrangement of resources to handle the emergencies such as accidents, flood during production operation.

2. Ensure the product quality delivery:

  • To perform colour quality trend analysis; propose and implement the solution and activities to improvement the colour quality and achieve the set targets
 3. Productivity: Accountability for delivery of productivity KPIs per company targets and keep the up the improvement trend.
  • Perform data analysis and be able to spot on opportunities for improvement of LpMpD and Dyehouse lead time as per KPIs set.
  • Coordinate and work with maintenance function to identify and correct top 10 poorly performing machines on periodical duration per agreement
  • Coordinate with system engineering function to fix lawer system errors

4. People management accountability

  • Responsible for hiring and appointment of personnel within their own team by participating in the selection process as and when required.
  • Organize and to arrange shift schedule, manning to ensure smooth operation of Dyehouse production in according to meet Coats and local legal and compliance requirement and standard.
  • Overview and monitor team disciplines and participate in the discipline meeting to build the disciplinary working environment
  • Ensure all activities within his/her own team to be fully complied with company regulation, legal regulations, and other customer standard
 

Education, Qualification and Experience:

1. Essential:

  • University graduate – preferably in chemical subjects
  • Having a minimum of 2-year experience in supervisory position in manufacturing working environment, and prior experience in managing a medium up to large team
  • Having positive teamwork, able to work with cross functional team members to deliver the result
  • Ability to communicate and explain, and share policies and SOPs, other matters to their subordinates and team member.
  • Basic labor compliance & HR knowledge

2. Desirable:

  • Basic technical knowledge of dyeing methods, dyestuff, auxiliary chemicals and dyeing machine
  • Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt
  • Ability to communicate in English and Vietnamese
