Opportunity: Senior Sales Director, Coats Digital


Location: Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam or Thailand


Role Purpose:


Drive Global Sales through a team of salespeople across our portfolio of solutions to support the expected rapid growth of the business.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Delivery of the Coats Digital revenue targets (rapid growth YoY) – achieved by leveraging the potential of a significantly enhanced and unique product offering, plus significant ongoing software development, to increase market penetration

  • Implementing an effective and efficient sales operating model

  • Creating and managing an integrated global sales team & all necessary sales processes (incl. single Coats Digital CRM)

  • Effectively leveraging Coats’ customers relationships

  • Working closely with the product development team to input into the enhancement of existing product and the creation of new products

  • Working closely with the head of marketing to develop a unique proposition for vendors

  • Providing reliable & transparent sales forecasts and reporting on commercial KPIs to the Coats Digitial LT and

  • P&L responsibility and accountability (with emphasis on sales KPIs – pipeline, revenue forecasting, margin, COS)

Education, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Prior B2B software and solutions sales experience to C-level in complex global businesses and large organisations

  • Track record of >20% YoY revenue growth in multi-country software sales (Asia critical)

  • Candidate must demonstrate scale up experience (Experience of business start-up or more established business going through accelerated business growth)

  • Candidate must demonstrate superior commercial skills; industry background a plus but not a must

  • Track record of building, developing and leading successful teams

  • Experience of working closely with marketing team to develop market message and feed pipeline; also operational team to ensure project delivers anticipated benefits and customer becomes a Coats Digital advocate

  • Best-in-class sales operating model and sales process management (e.g. Microsoft, salesforce.com, AWS etc.)

  • Post-merger integration of sales teams

  • On-prem to SaaS pricing model transition

  • Hunter mentality, proactive and independent, willing to go the extra mile

  • Able to work and stay organised in a fast pace environment

  • Consultative sales style

  • Strong desire to excel in a dynamic and challenging working environment

  • Excellent communication and people skills; confident in dealing with individuals at all levels within an organisation

  • Strategic but also ‘hands on’

  • Systematic and process driven with an analytical approach to problem solving / overcoming barriers.
