Assistant Marketing Manager

Opportunity: Assistant Marketing Manager

Location: Derby, Fast React Systems Head Office

Fast React Systems is a fully owned subsidiary of Coats Group PLC and is part of the Coats Global Services division which specialises in ‘best in class’ technology based solutions that deliver significant and measurable cost, speed and productivity improvements to manufacturers, sourcing companies, retailers and brands.

Summary of the role:
This is a newly created position which has been designed to support the Coats Global Services divisions growth plans. The purpose of this role is to support and depustise for the Marketing Manager whilst driving increased awareness of Fast React solutions to potential customers.  

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead generation and qualification activities to support the achievement of sales targets.
  • Run, monitor and analyse digital and direct campaigns
  • Creation and coordination of marketing material and collateral, including creating briefs and managing external agencies to ensure full on time delivery to brief and cost.
  • Writing and re-purposing compelling copy for digital and offline use, including press releases, case studies, management briefs and brochures.
  • Content management to agreed calendar, with upload to FR digital platforms and social media as required, as well as providing content and supporting images to Coats digital team.
  • Coordinate and analyse digital activity focusing on maximising conversions through leveraging website design and content, SEO, Analytics, PPC, social media, etc.
  • Organise and coordinate global events and exhibitions.
  • Work closely and building relationships with all stake holders including external suppliers such as design agencies and publications.
  • Effective use of CRM including the creation and coordination of regular reports and KPIs.
  • Coordinate online directories, customer surveys and provide content for internal news snippets.
  • Continue the development of internal branding through the FR brand manual.
  • Take part in meetings with internal FR teams, CGS and Coats Teams.
  • Any other projects deemed appropriate.
Background and Qualifications:
Essential
  • Minimum of 8 years marketing experience in a B2B environment.
  • Proven track record of successful contribution to the achievement of specific marketing KPIs.
  • Experience in lead generation and qualification.
  • Experience in completing successful direct mail campaigns.
  • Digital marketing experience and skills in using Adwords to create and publish PPC adverts and SEO.
  • Strong understanding and experience in Google Analytics.
  • Comfortable and competent in copy writing and content generation.
  • Effective use of a Content Management System (CMS).
  • Experience of marketing automation tools for email campaigns e.g. Mail Chimp.
  • Experience of managing within an agreed marketing budget.
  • Excellent communication and people skills whether face to face, over the telephone, or in writing.
  • Confident in dealing with individuals at all levels within an organisation.
  • Highly organised individual able to effectively priorities and plan workload.
  • High personal standards and attention to detail.
  • Good judgement and decision making.
  • Self-motivated and highly driven.
  • Able to analyse data and communicate the outcomes in monthly reports.
  • Use of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM System.
  • Use of Adobe Illustrator (Ai), to design and create literature.
  • A willingness to travel, mainly within in the UK but occasionally overseas.
  • Full current driving license.
  • Experience in organising and coordinating successful event and exhibitions.
  • Experience of growing an audience on different social media platforms.
  • Experience in managing junior staff members.
Desirable
  • Experience of a re-brand exercise, or new product brand development.
