Opportunity: Customer Support

Location: Derby, Fast React Systems Head Office

Fast React Systems is a fully owned subsidiary of Coats Group PLC and is part of the Coats Global Services division which specialises in ‘best in class’ technology based solutions that deliver significant and measurable cost, speed and productivity improvements to manufacturers, sourcing companies, retailers and brands

Job Role:
Working in the customer support team, your main duties will be to answer customer queries, give expert advice over different channels and make sure the customer is always kept up to date, providing a high standard of service. Taking responsibility and ownership of the enquiry, you will build a network throughout the company to ensure that the resolution is found quickly and efficiently, and identify any obstacles that may be present by escalating these to ensure that these are resolved in a timely manner.

When dealing with customers, queries must always be logged in the internal systems and calls must be kept to a minimum during one customer interaction through efficient processes. Throughout your time as a Customer Support you will need to ensure your product and market knowledge is kept up to date to make sure all advice given is first-rate. You may also be involved in other duties as directed by your line manager.

Skills and Background:
Essential
  • Excellent communication and people skills whether face to face, over the telephone, or in writing.
  • Aptitude for quick learning.
  • Logical approach to problem solving and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent service skills including active listening alongside focusing and fully understanding our customer's needs.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good time management and organisational skills to prioritise workload and demands.
  • Demonstrates urgency, energy and enthusiasm.
  • Adapts quickly to a changing environment.
  • Prior experience in software implementation/support desk activities, is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and within a group with minimal supervision.
Desirable 
  • Presentation skills; confidence to stand up and make a presentation to a number of people
  • Exposure to the Apparel Manufacturing Sector (RMG)
  • A background in Quality Assurance for IT companies, Merchandising, Planning, IE or IT
  • Technical exposure to ERP systems
Please note – If candidates haven’t had experience in some of the above areas, but have in others, can still be considered. For example, if the candidate does not have experience in RMG, but has experience in working for an ERP company, they can still apply.
IT Skills (knowledge of Microsoft SQL).
