Fast React Systems is a fully owned subsidiary of Coats Group PLC, the world’s leading industrial thread manufacturer serving the apparel and footwear industries, across 6 continents, with some 50 sites and with a sales presence in over 100 countries.

Role Purpose:

We are in the process of launching our Visionng Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution in Asia to build on the recent success of this browser based, ‘Cloud’ and ‘SaaS’ enabled solution

To support the launch of the Visionng PLM initiative and active projects in region, we are seeking a dedicated and capable Senior Project Manager / Implementation Consultant, who enjoys working in the IT/fashion industry, meeting new people and travel

The Senior Project Manager works closely with the client, and the Fast React team to ensure successful project delivery.

You will play a direct role in the day to day management and implementation of assigned projects, and supporting implementation consultants as appropriate.

Key Accountabilities: 


  • Articulate and document technical requirements to the development team, ensuring the solution meets the client requirements and is delivered in the most effective manner
  • Good stakeholder management and communication client-side and internally
  • Give compelling presentations up to and including board level


  • Write, own and support and own internal and client-facing documentation. Ensure any key documentation is kept up to date, version controlled and formatted in a professional way and to the agreed Fast React guidelines, with CRM kept up to date at all times.
  • Produce internal and client-facing project documentation of a good quality and in a timely fashion, ensuring that project documents are accurate, complete, current, and appropriately stored, and that CRM is updated.


  • Draw out client requirements utilising a variety of techniques including:
    • Direct questioning
    • Pain-chain analysis
    • Is, does, means
    • Business process walkthroughs
    • Extracting from client-own documentation
    • Process mapping

Project Delivery

Lead and contribute to the delivery of the project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility, and subsequently to manage scope and client expectations.

  • Create and deliver project plans, determining, communicating and working towards clear milestones (internal and client side), and revising these as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Manage change to project scope, project schedule, and project costs, working with Implementation Consultants to ensure that man days sold vs man days consumed are tracked and any potential discrepancy to the days sold (under/over) is identified in advance, with corrective action taken wherever possible.
  • Present to clients the Fast React solution, demonstrating a strong understanding of the client and industry issues it helps to solve, and ‘bringing the solution to life’.
  • Successfully run internal and client workshops and evidence output.


  • Work closely with the implementation team and co-ordinate workload and priorities
  • Manage and co-ordinate internal and client teams

Education, Qualification and Experience:


  • Experience in the garment/footwear/textile industry, likely in a merchandising or similar role
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English languages, including good reading and writing skills
  • Technically strong, capable and keen to learn new software and its application through training and ‘hands on’ project exposure with experienced consultants
  • A strong, analytical approach to problem solving
  • Self-motivated capable of working either alone, or as part of a team. A good self learner and willing to invest in yourself (through self-study and gaining knowledge)
  • Ability to listen and interpret user needs (and filter out user ‘wants’), to provide good quality, workable solutions for clients
  • Excellent communication and people skills including face to face, over the telephone and in writing. Comfortable dealing with client personnel at all levels
  • A willingness to travel, certainly in Hong Kong and China and potentially throughout Asia
  • Experience of MS Office products, particularly MS Excel.


  • Experience of the new style development process and/or supply chain planning
  • Experience of software implementation and support
  • A background knowledge of sourcing/buying offices
  • Exposure to International business/buyers
  • Commercial awareness
  • Background knowledge of databases (such as SQL and Access)
  • Experience of using Microsoft CRM.
